We’ll streamline and automate your workflows. That means you’ll always have up-to-date figures – so you can plan, reach your goals – and grow your profits.

That’s just the beginning.

Head in the cloud

Yes, as a virtual bookkeeping practice, we have our business head in ‘The Cloud’, using applications to simplify and automate your processes. So we save you time. And we save you money. Oh, and we save paper, too.
More than just a one trick pony

We’re Xero specialists and we use its many add-ons to make life easier for you. Payroll, HR, Payments, Inventory, CRM… and more. Oh, and did we mention that we tailor our virtual and remote processes especially for you? What’s not to love?

And it gets better

We offer you fixed price bookkeeping. No surprises. Only the services you want. We’ll customise your package, and you just pay the same fixed price fee each month.

A little about me, Karen Andrews
I’m the Director of Vivid Enterprise Solutions. Innovation is in my DNA. As a fellow business owner, bookkeeper, registered BAS agent, mother and wife it is my passion to support my clients and family in a calm atmosphere.
When you use our services, you’ll find that we go way past the traditional bookkeeping role. I’m here to help you build your business, to help you thrive while supporting you as a fellow business owner. And I firmly believe that your success is our success.
By running a virtual and remote practice I have the ability to look at your business and quickly see how, together, we can cut down time by streamlining and automating your processes.
And I know that running your own business can be tough – and it can sometimes be lonely. Our business is client-focused, so if you need to give us a call to keep in touch, we love to hear from you. And know that we’re always here to support your business endeavours.
I didn’t start off in the bookkeeping world. I loved maths and science at school, and went on to complete a Science Degree at Monash University. There I did an honours degree in Pharmacology, studying the pharmacological effects of the most venomous snake in the world – Australia’s Inland Taipan.

From there, I completed my PhD on 12 Imidazolines that affected a potassium channel as a potential treatment for diabetes.
I learnt to solve problems. I learnt to do research. I learnt how to design and conduct experiments, write clearly (and of course, scientifically), and be precise and succinct.
I loved order, structure and finding solutions – all very useful later with bookkeeping.
There and back again
Then there was Calgary.
My supportive husband and I packed our bags and took ourselves off to the wealthiest, cleanest and most liveable city in Canada so I could do some post-doctoral work.
We had two wonderful, exciting years there, with almost every weekend spent on the snowfields. Then it was time to come back again. Time to grow our own family by three – 2 boys and then a girl. Where does the time go?
My research search
Back on the research trail, I worked for Monash University, RMIT University and the Baker Research Institute, the last 10 years as 2IC for a group of up to 15 researchers, which also saw me mentoring many honours students and PhD students. Life was busy, busy, busy.
But something was missing. I needed a career change.

Doing the ‘books’
Bookkeeping used to be called ‘doing the books’ and that’s what I did for my husband for years. Then I started looking at ways to speed up processes to automate what I’d been doing manually. My analytical mind wanted to find better, faster and more effective ways to operate. I started working in a garden supply business, spread my bookkeeping wings and learned to fly.
Then I discovered Xero, their amazing app ecosystem with their add-ons and my virtual bookkeeping journey officially took off.

Growing the business
While increasing my knowledge base completing my Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, my appetite for the industry continued to grow. Once I became an official BAS agent I knew it was time to support my clients on a larger scale. I became an employer.
Today, Vivid Enterprise Solutions, my virtually based bookkeeping business employs four wonderful staff who have helped me take my business to new heights so I can help you do the same.
